The club features twice in the Howick Pakuranga Times this week with articles on NZ Open's and King of the Bays results.

Counties prize giving will be held at 4pm on May 30th at Weymouth Cosmopolitan Club, 151 Sykes Road, Manurewa. Nibbles, soft drink & lollies (Swimmers only) are provided. Cash bar available.

Apologies to anyone who watched TV3's Push Play program on 3 Apr to see Paige Schendelaar-Kemp at NZ Juniors. We were misinformed, it is screening on 22 May.

Great results from our swimmers in the King of the Bays yesterday with Cara Baker winning the women's and Stefan Talbot second in a very close finish in the men's race. Both Cara and Stefan were interviewed as part of the TV coverage (click for details). You can see the results and some photos here. XLR8 points tool has been updated to utilise latest SNZ base times. Note: the age groups are now only up to 14yo, swimmers older than this use Fina Points.

SNZ have released the final club results from Juniors. Wow our team scored 444 points with the next club over 120 points behind us (this amounts to 12 gold medals). Click here for full details.

Congratulations to Cara Baker on being selected for the World Champs Open Water team with her 2nd place in the 10k event at the Aus Open Water Champs. Cara also won the 5km event beating the current 5k world champion. Laura Baker was the 2nd NZ women in the 10k race finishing in 6th place which makes her eligible for selection for the Junior Pan Pacs and Oceania teams. Stefan Talbot also confirmed his place as the top 18 & under open water male in the 5k and 10k events. Photos can be viewed on the photos page.

Congratulations to Stefan Talbot, Jana Korbasova & Cameron Flavell on their results in the Chelsea Sugar swim. Stefan and Jana finished 2nd overall male & female respectively and Cameron finishing 7th overall. Because Stefan swam without a wetsuit he won the Chelsea Cup (1st male non-wetsuit), Mazzolini cup (1st swim club member male) and the Malloy shield (1st overall swim club member (non wetsuit division)).
