The club will run a timekeepers training course on Sun 28 Apr (during club champs warm up). This is a great time to learn all about the requirements of timekeeping and to ask any questions you have. You will also be able to complete the theory and practical aspects of the timekeepers course. Please advise Vicki if you will be attending - so we can arrange sufficient paperwork.

Club Champs is also a great time to commence training as an Inspector of Turns, Starter, Recorder or Referee. If you wish to start training this please see Vicki.

Congratulations to our swimmers at the NZ Open Water Champs and Epic swims in Lake Taupo. Cara made it four in a row for the 5 and 10km double. Other medallists included

The 'What have I Qualified For' tool has been updated for the Juniors, NAGS, Div II and Opens. Note: except for Juniors there are no longer 50m qualifying times. To qualify for the 50m races you need to qualify for the 100 or 200m races in that stroke.

The Fina website shows that the times Ewan and Corey swam to qualify for World Champs Short Course are currently the 4th and 14th fastest times recorded times for 2012.

Congratulations to Aimee Moss on her selection in the Australian Youth Olympics Festival team.

Congratulations to Cara Baker on her 2nd place at the Hong Kong leg of the Fina 10K Marathon Swimming World Cup.

The principal coaches for the swimmers competing at NZ Short Course (Jana and Horst) did a fantastic job preparing the athletes. This has resulted in the best result the club has achieved at this meet (2nd overall) and two swimmers going under the World Champs qualifying times. Counties Swimming have arranged a technical officials forum on 23 Sep at Moana-Nui-A-Kiwa Leisure centre in Mangere. This includes both classroom and practical sessions (with swimmers in water). The forum runs from 10am to 3pm with a shared lunch. To attend please RSVP to CMSA by 16 Sep.
